Do I need to get vaccinated or travel insurance before arriving in Bali?
Vaccinations and travel insurance are not critical, but recommended if you feel the need to get them.
What is the time difference in Bali?
Time zone in Bali, Indonesia is Central Indonesia Time (GMT+8) which is 16 hours ahead of Pacific Time (PST).
Do I need cash in Bali? What is the currency exchange rate?
As of today, $1 USD is equivalent to about $15,503 IDR. While most places take credit cards, we recommend having at least $100-$200 USD worth of cash in IDR just in case.
Do we need to stay at Kempinski?
While it is not required to stay at the Kempinski resort, we highly recommend doing so to avoid additional traveling. Traffic in Bali can be a little overwhelming! If you do prefer to stay at another place, please be mindful of the time it will take to get to Kempinski resort.
What are the check-in and check-out times at the resort?

What's the weather like in Bali around September?

Is it safe to swim in the ocean by the resort?
Bali's strong currents and beach tides are dangerous, and you should avoid the ocean unless you're an excellent swimmer. Swim only in areas where there are other people and lifeguards and also avoid beaches with red flags.
Is it safe to drink tap water in Bali?
The tap water in Bali isn't recommended for drinking, so avoid it and stick to sealed bottled water. That includes steering clear of more than you might think, including ice in drinks, brushing your teeth with tap water, ingesting water in the shower, and food that has been washed in tap water.

We kindly request that you do not feel obligated to bring any gifts. Your presence and well wishes are all that we ask for! We simply want to share this joyous occasion with our cherished friends and family. If you insist to send us something, feel free to contribute to our honeymoon fund listed under the Registry section.
Is there a dress code for the wedding events?
The welcome party on 8/30 will be a casual-formal All-White party and the wedding ceremony + reception will be black-tie formal. While we do not require everyone to wear a specific color to attend these events, our main theme for the wedding ceremony will be Sage Green if you would like to wear something that goes with it.
