Out-of-town guests without cars have two main options for getting to the Welcome Picnic:

1. You can get on-demand, usually low-cost private rides with Uber (just download the app to your smartphone). You can use this fare estimator to get an approximate sense of the cost of traveling to a specific location. Tip: If you send an Uber invitation to someone else using the app, both you and the person you invite can get a free ride.

2. From downtown (Pine Street & 3rd Avenue), the bus line 36 goes to Dr. Jose Rizal Park (the stop is Golf Drive South & 14th Avenue South). See this overview using the public transportation option in Google Maps. If you are sightseeing near Pike Place Market at the time, it is just a short walk to the Pine Street & 3rd Avenue stop. If you are coming from the Edgewater Hotel, you can ask the free hotel shuttle to take you near Pine Street & 3rd Avenue (make sure to reserve a spot on the shuttle ahead of time with Guest Services).
