Piper and JC's story began on February 23, 2025. JC had just accepted a job at Covenant Church in Meridian and was attending his first Sunday service there that morning. He was introduced to multiple people that day, one of whom was, as he later described, “a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice” whose name was Piper. They met briefly after being introduced by their pastor, Cory. From there, they became part of the same worship family and grew to know each other better over the following months.|As their friendship grew, Piper sent a bold text on July 13: “Hey, are you free for lunch or coffee sometime this week?” JC responded, “For sure! I can do tomorrow or Tuesday.” Later, they would both realize they had been praying and asking the Lord for clarity about where He was leading their friendship. That first lunch turned into a second date, which turned into a third on July 29, when Piper and JC officially started dating.|Piper and JC have built their relationship around God and have sought His grace, mercy, and wisdom throughout their time together. It became clear to both of them that the Lord had placed them in the same town at the same time for a reason. On February 15, JC asked Piper to be his wife.
