Many of our family and friends already know our sort of high school sweethearts story... You know, Hunter had another girlfriend at the time, yeah I know how dare he, and through that crazy relationship of his, he and Piper became good friends, to eventually friends with crushes. Then after Hunter graduated and Piper was in online school they reconnected, flirted, the rest is history, yada yada yada. But how did the young couple really fall for each other...?

Well, if you ask Hunter...

I met Piper back in high school. At the time, I was dating someone else, yeah that whole mess, but even then, I was already starting to catch feelings for her. Then out of nowhere, she disappeared the next school year. I didn’t see or hear from her until one day I came across one of her Snapchat stories and decided to shoot her a message. She fired back with, “Who is this? What do you want? Leave me alone,” thinking I was some other Hunter from her past. Once I explained who I actually was, things settled down and we started talking like no time had passed.

Eventually, I asked her out, and man… seeing her again was wild. She was still as stunning as I remembered. One of our first dates was ice skating, not the best idea, but I just remember how natural it felt, like we’d been together for years. I’ll never forget her saying she wanted a movie-style first kiss, and I kinda panicked. So instead, she got one in a Taco Bell parking lot. Not exactly cinematic, but I wouldn’t change a thing. That’s kinda how our relationship has always been, not picture perfect, but perfect for us.

After an amazing five years, I asked her to spend forever with me. And now, here we are—six years strong.

But if you ask Piper...

I remember one day getting a random message from this guy on snapchat. At first I didn't know who it was. I thought it was a different Hunter from high school French class that wouldn't leave me alone, so I remember being kind of rude to him when he first texted...haha oops. But once I figured out who it was, we quickly began talking all day everyday. He was very attentive and actually wanted to talk with me, which was a nice thing to feel for once.

I was pretty nervous when he asked to take me on a proper date, to pick me up, open my door, buy me food and everything. I remember that first date feeling so natural and nerve wracking at the same time, like I had known this guy for years already and yet I couldn't get the butterflies out of my stomach and my cheeks had become hot and sore from smiling so much. I knew I was in for it when I told him I wanted our first kiss to be "movie magic". and so He took me to the taco bell parking lot, awkwardly kissed me then shoved his face with a 5 layer burrito, like he just won the Super Bowl.

Over these 6 years he has become more of my best friend, it has always been easy to talk and be my true self around him. My life was suddenly lighter and easier with Hunter in it, and I was happy. We definitely have gone through our hardships with family, finances and the all the works, but we somehow, together, have worked our way through it and never given up. I can never stay mad at him, I miss him when he's gone, for even a short 30 minutes, he always makes me laugh, and he knows to feed me chocolate and fries when I need it the most, so I'm thinking maybe I actually won the Super Bowl.

I cant imagine these past 6 years without him, and I wouldn't want to continue the next 50 without him by my side. I can't wait to marry him.
