Do we need to get a visa?

Yes, you can apply for an E-visa using the following link https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/Registration. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions about the process

What flights should we book and when?

We recommend flying either Emirates and Ethiad. The destination airport is Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport, Indore India and total flight time can range from 16 - 20 hours depending on your location. Typically best prices are about 6 months before the flight date, but we suggest booking sooner. Please feel free to reach out to us before finalizing flights to confirm so we can plan accordingly.

What accomodations should we book and where?

Housing, food, and transportation will be provided for every guest. You are more than welcome to try any of the local cuisine and we can give plenty of recommendations.

How far is the international airport from the resort?

The airport is about a 2.5 hour drive from the resort where you will all be staying for three days.

What else can we do?

Anything and everything. Check out the "Things to do" page for additional suggestions.

Did you forget to add a registry page?

No, we understand the travel alone is a lot and only want your presence as our present. "Atithi Devo Bhava," a Sanskrit phrase meaning "A guest is akin to God," embodies the traditional Indian philosophy of treating guests with the utmost respect and reverence.

Do we need any vaccinations?

There are no required vaccinations in order to travel to India, but we recommend that each person consult their doctor before planning to travel.

What happens if we get sick?

We will have six family doctors at the wedding, and there is a nearby hospital a few miles away from the resort. There are plenty of anitbiotcs, acidity pills, and preventative medications that will be readily available if something happens. Everything from the food to drinks are all good for health and digestion in India, so don't worry!

Are the guests required to perform dances and sing (karaoke)?

No, but it is strongly encouraged that family and friends learn some dances to perform during the sangeet. Sam and Pooja will help coordinate if you want to perform a dance or song.

Where should we get Indian traditional clothes/wear?

You can buy clothes once you arrive in India or order online in USA on Laskaraa.com (link below). Feel free to contact Pooja before ordering anything on website. https://www.lashkaraa.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwzMi_BhACEiwAX4YZUCe-7gUrmpf2vVb_UN_eZYSfQXO5OQapxW73PGDknj8MDeW0jCz1rBoCwwwQAvD_BwE
