I’d say going back to around 2015-16, Kasey and I matched on Bumble. Being from a nearby town, we fell into each other’s vicinity on Christmas break. From there, we tried (and failed, obviously. Not from lack of effort on my part, I swear I swiped up on every story she posted) to meet up and go on a date. Instead, we settled for following each other on social media.Fast forward to 2021, I have moved to Florida, and she was in Atlanta. I posted a picture on instagram after the braves won the World Series and I guess I was skinnier and hotter then because she reached out to me 😂. We decided that I would fly her out to Jacksonville for New Years and she would spend the weekend. Without telling her folks where she was going she hopped on a plane to go see a boy she’d never met. She ended up contracting COVID down there with me. Aside from that, things went so well, we continued to date and from that very first weekend my feelings for her have only become more intense and multiplied 100 times over. Typing this, as I go back through the memories we’ve made and the wonderful life that we have built together Kasey, I see it clearly now that you are the absolute love of my life. As we travel though this together, I am reminded of all the hardships I have endured just to come out the other side extremely blessed with such a loving mother, a caring daughter, and compassionate partner. Our story starts in the year of around 2015. We matched on Bumble (a dating app) while we were both home for Christmas break. Nothing ever came of it, we never even met in person. We started following each other on social media and that was the furthest it ever went. Fast forward to Nov of 2021, it’s the World Series and the Braves won!! I was now living in Atlanta and Conner was living in Jacksonville Florida. He posted a picture of him and his buddies on instagram, I was like “ Oooooo who is that??? Oh it’s the guy from bumble!” I went back into my DMs and saw that he had been blowing me up and trying to flirt with me but I kept blowing him off. So I build up the courage to reach out to him and he responded! A few weeks and months go by of us “talking”, we are now FaceTiming and taking on the phone multiple times a week. Conner offers to fly me out to Florida for NYE. Of course I jump at the idea of that! My best friend Natalie is a flight attendant, so we came up with a back up plan of hotels and flights in case I get over there and things didn’t work out. I had my location on so my friends could see where I was, but I didn’t tell anyone except for Natalie that I was flying out to meet a stranger. So I hopped on a plane to meet a guy that I had never met before. Thankfully it all worked out becuase I got Covid while visiting and had to stay a few extra days. Even though I almost gave my family and friends a heart attack after I told them when I got back, it all worked out! These years together have been the most challenging yet amazing years yet! I’m so happy and blessed to have found the guy I’ve been praying for all these years. I feel like we grow stronger and more in love every day. I’m have the best teammate and partner to live life with and I’m the luckiest girl in the world because of it!
