Important Details
RSVP Deadline:
Kindly RSVP by July 1st, 2025, so we can make proper preparations. We want to have an accurate head count for our caterer, venue, and rentals.
Prompt Start Time:
Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the ceremony begins to park and find your seats. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 PM. If you happen to arrive late, please wait to be seated until after the procession. We’ll have a small water station available for guests to enjoy before the ceremony begins.
Unplugged Ceremony:
We kindly ask that all guests silence their phones and refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so that everyone can be fully present. We’ve hired professional photographers and videographers to capture these special moments, and we’re excited to share those with you after the wedding. Feel free to take photos and videos during the cocktail hour and reception, and upload them to our shared folder using the QR code at the event!
Plus Ones:
Only guests specified on the invitation are invited to attend. We kindly ask that uninvited guests or guests who have not RSVP’d do not attend, as we may not be able to accommodate them last minute.
Dress Code:
Dress code is cocktail attire, and we encourage floral prints and colorful outfits! Think of it as garden party formal. For a summer wedding, we suggest lighter fabrics like cotton or linen, breathable options that are comfortable in warmer weather. Sundresses, midi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits for the ladies, and suits or dress slacks with button-down shirts for the gentlemen are great options. Guests are also encouraged to rewear something from their wardrobe, borrow from a friend, or rent an outfit to keep things sustainable!
The Venue:
Our wedding will be held at The Gardens at Uncanoonuc Mountain, a beautiful outdoor venue surrounded by flowers and nature. Feel free to explore the gardens after the ceremony! For those wearing heels, we recommend considering wedges or flats as stilettos may sink into the grass.
Inclement Weather:
We’re prepared for any weather! We will have parasols, fans, and a water station if it’s hot. In case of rain, umbrellas will be available, and the ceremony will move to our covered backup location on-site. The reception will be held under a tent with closing sides.
Parking:
Free parking is available at the venue entrance. If you plan on drinking, you are welcome to leave your car overnight and pick it up the next day.
Uber/Lyft:
For guests not driving, Uber, Lyft, and local taxi services are available to and from the venue, but they are limited. Please plan your trip in advance to make sure you can arrive and leave on time!
Food:
We will be serving appetizers during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet dinner and cake for dessert. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP.
Drinks:
We’re excited to offer an open bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages! No outside drinks are permitted at the venue. Please drink responsibly if you plan to drive.
Theme & Color Palette:
Our wedding theme is a garden party, inspired by nature and seasonal flowers. If you’d like to coordinate with our theme, feel free to check out our mood board and color palette below. It’s completely optional, but if you want to join in on the fun, these colors will help match the vibe of the day.
In Case of Questions
If you have any questions leading up to the big day, feel free to reach out to either Nicole or William. On the day of the wedding, our Maid of Honor and Best Man will be your go-to contacts if you need any assistance. We’ll make sure their contact details are listed here closer to the event!
Sustainability is important to us, so we’ve made efforts to minimize waste and reduce our impact on the environment. Here’s how we’re incorporating sustainability into our wedding:
- No Single-Use Plastics: No plastic cups, straws, or cutlery will be used.
- Sustainable Flowers: Our florist is using seasonal, locally grown flowers, and we will repurpose them after the wedding. They will also refrain from using floral foam.
- Rentals: Most of our décor, linens, and other items are rented to reduce waste.
- Wedding Party Attire: Groomsmen will rent suits, and bridesmaids’ dresses are second-hand or rented.
- Food: Our caterer will compost and recycle as much as possible. Leftovers will be saved.
- Save the Date: We’ve opted for digital save the dates to reduce paper waste.
