Where is the wedding taking place?
Fortunately, We will have our wedding ceremony and reception at The Venue at the Reeds in Spirit Lake, Idaho! The address is located on your invitations as well as on the home page of our website.
What time is the ceremony? Reception?
Our ceremony will start at 3:30 pm, and our reception will follow promptly after!
What is the dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. Wear something you like: long dresses, button-up shirts, etc. Our ceremony and reception areas are grassy, so we suggest avoiding very high or stiletto-type heels. Also, it is outside, so bring a jacket! (we will have some blankets provided, but just in case)
What weather should I expect?
As it will be the end of October, we expect a cold evening, and again, we suggest bringing jackets to keep you warm, if needed!
What should I expect after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the couple and the immediate family will take pictures; during this time, we ask our guests to bring their chairs to the reception area and find a good seat at a table! At this time, we will have snacks and drinks available for your consumption.
Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?
Transportation to and from the venue is not provided. We suggest carpooling as that will save space for cars in the lot, and many of our friends and family come from out of town. The parking lot at the venue is big enough to fit roughly 60-65 cars and is located on the lot.
Can I take pictures?
We kindly request that you enjoy this moment in the present and leave all cell phones or cameras in your pocket or purse during the ceremony. We have hired a fantastic photographer and videographer to capture every wedding detail. After the ceremony, we would love for you to capture our day and encourage you to take photos!
How do I RSVP and when is the deadline?
You can RSVP by clicking the RSVP button in the middle of the home page or going to the separate RSVP page and filling it out! The deadline for RSVP-ing is August 1st. We would like them to be submitted by then to get a final headcount for food, drinks, etc. If you do not RSVP by the deadline, we will assume you cannot make it.
What if I don’t RSVP on time?
If we do not receive your RSVP by August 1st, it will be marked as “no” and we will not be expecting you to be able to make it. We will miss celebrating with you, but in order to give our vendors and venue a final guest count, we ask that you respectfully RSVP by the date given. Thank you for understanding!
Can I bring my kids?
We are allowing kids at our wedding. A lovely playground on the lot is close to the reception area and is visible from the tables. We ask that a parent accompany the respective child(s) and not allow them on the playground until after the ceremony. We also ask them to be well-behaved and respectful of the venue, decor, and all that is going on. Many adults may want to take this night as a parents-only night and get a babysitter!
Can I bring my partner?
We are at capacity with our venue, so we can sadly not accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed in your invitation/RSVP. If you have any questions, please reach out.
I'm traveling from afar, where do I stay?
On our travel page on our website, we have listed some suggestions close to the Spirit Lake area to give you ideas for a place to stay! If you would like to book anywhere else, feel free to do so!
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our venue has a separate path from the parking lot that leads directly to the ceremony space. If you can, we suggest going through the front entrance as we will have our guestbook out that way and other decor/scenery you won't want to miss!
What should I expect for food and drinks? What if I have dietary restrictions?
We will have light snacks during our cocktail hour, followed by a delicious pasta dinner and dessert! We will have a selection of water, sodas, ciders, beers, and such for drinks! If you have a dietary restriction, please let the couple or parents of the couple know!
What do I do if I feel unwell around your wedding?
As much as we want all of you to join us for our special day, we would like anyone who feels unwell or sick to stay home and rest up to recover. Your health matters to us!
I have a question that I can't find the answer to, where can I reach you?
