Trip Ideas

Glacier National Park

Located 4.5 hours east of Spokane, the drive to Glacier National Park is beautiful and well worth it. Once you've arrived to the Flathead Valley, you can find plenty of places to stay in Kalispel, Columbia Falls, or Whitefish, MT and be right outside the park--or camp on the Middle Fork Flatehead river for the ultimate outdoor experince. In the park there are endless hikes for all ability levels, crystal clear alpine lakes, and options to bike, kayak, or simply relax. If you head over to this area, be sure to stop by the Bulldog Bar in Whitefish and order some huckleberry hot wings!

Seattle

4 hours west of Spokane, Seattle has so much to offer. Seattle, and its sister city Portland (just 2 hours south of Seattle) are the cultural centers of the northwest. Each offers a wide variety of great food, art, and activities. Catch a Mariners game, take a boat out on the Puget Sound, walk Pikes Place Market, go to the top of the Space Needle, or visit the museum of pop culture. When staying in Seattle you can also visit the Cascade Mountains to the east, or venture out to the Olympics on the peninsula.
