Sandy and Quynh’s journey began in early 2019, when Quynh saw Sandy’s Facebook profile and was swept away by her beauty. With bravery, he sent a friend request and wrote her direct message that introduced himself and asked to become more acquainted. Sandy noticed the message, but since it was written in Vietnamese, she was unable to fully comprehend what he was saying, so she responded to him with a waving emoji. Upon seeing the emoji, Quynh was perplexed as to why she had not addressed his query. He then responded in English to find out whether she understood his question and if it was a rejection. Startled by his answer, Sandy had to asked her cousin to interpret what he had said in the message, as she did not want to turn him down after finding out he was quite good looking and very gentleman-like. Sandy felt embarrassed what was going on and apologized for not fully understanding his question. Since then, they have spoken nonstop, day and night, and their love has grown the past 5 years into the pair that people are familiar with today.

Sandy and Quynh had discovered similar values over their journey together, such as their love for family and friends. For them, family is the most important as they are able to count on them.
