"The Sane One" Shaunti and Taquana met when Shaunti worked for the American Red Cross. They later reunited at VCU Health where they worked together again. Their friendship has grown rapidly with them traveling together, going out, and just experiencing the ups and downs of life. Taquana is one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. Taquana is the one you call for sound advice. A lover of R&B (especially Boyz2Men) and a road runner (95N 0 to 100 real quick, lol) with a smile that could light up the darkest of rooms. Shaunti was a bridesmaid in Taquana's wedding and is so excited to now have her standing behind her on the couple's special day. Kind, generous, loving, and funny Taquana has a heart of GOLD but can cut a mean side eye so don't get too carried away lol.

"The Ride or Die". This big sister is super protective, but under all that hard exterior is the one of the kindest, most caring people Shaunti has ever encountered. Shaunti and Shavanna met working at Wawa during Shaunti's undergrad. The two would tell people that they were sisters and people would really believe us. The two affectionately referred to each other as "thick" girls (lol). Full of laughs and always ready to lend an ear or shoulder this big sister is always there. She's sweet but please don't try her...Try Jesus first.

"The Sweet One". Neisha is one of Shaunti's dearest friends. Da Caribbean Gyal. She's the one you call for a "pick-me-up". Possesing one of the purest spirits Shaunti has ever encountered and a unique Caribbean accent, Neisha is the Mother of Shaunti's only Godson, Amarii. Years of friendship shared between Neisha and Shaunti have allowed them to grow into a sisterly relationship. The love that she shows their son (Logan) is like she birthed him herself, and that is REAL LOVE.

CeeCee is "The Brains & The Beauty" Shaunti met CeeCee during her undergrad at VCU. Shaunti credits CeeCee with helping her through coursework she had previously cried over from confusion (whew Chile!). CeeCee accompanied Shaunti to a "swanky", lol, downtown club for her 21st Birthday, and lets just say CeeCee will always be "The Real MVP". The two may not speak everyday but when they do, they pick up like they never missed a beat. Always one for sound advice and listening ear for the couple. CoCo "The cutest little girl you ever did see" Coco is little cutie who is sort of new to the world. Always learning and showing her personality. CoCo adores her parents and enjoys spending girls time with her cousins. CoCo will grace your presence as the flowergirl for the couple.

Shante is "The Educator" Shaunti and Shante met at VCU and later found out that Shante was dating her cousin. Shante also was a life saver for Shaunti during undergrad. Shaunti recalls wondering how Shante would explain topics like Organic Chemistry with such ease, when in fact, Organic Chemistry made people cry (lol). Shante is a lifetime teacher, in fact Shaunti and Shante worked at the same preschool at one point. Shaunti has always admired the way Shante encourages her children to learn so she set it in her mind that one day when she did have a child she would invest in them the way Shante did. Shante has been a huge inspiration in motherhood for Shaunti. Undefeated champion in breastfeeding and armed with brains and beauty this Jersey girl is loved and appreciated by Shaunti and Laveil.

"The Sassy One" Yaya is Shaunti's first little sister. The two are 15 years apart in age so when Yaya was born Shaunti got first hand experience in babysitting. Yaya is very active in softball and horseback riding. She masters anything she touches. With an eye for creativity and overflowing intelligence Yaya is almost ready for college. From their funny facetimes to the physical time they spend together Shaunti loves being a big sister and only hopes that as Yaya continues to grow and learn they become closer. The couple are so happy that she will be apart of their big day.

"The Baby" Ra-Yanah is the baby of the sisters. Her sweet and loving demeanor make her a joy to be around. Being the youngest of all she will always be the baby no matter how tall she gets. Ray is also into softball like her big sister Yaya. She loves music, horror movies, and oversized hoodies (lol). Ray is adored by her big sister Shaunti. She can brighten your day with just her smile and her brutal honesty is quite humorous at times. Ray is soooo excited for the big day!
