Q + A

Are children allowed?

Although we love your little ones, as an operational macadamia farm with rock walls, pools and lakes, unfortunately the venue is not suitable for the kiddies to join us. Take the opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy a night on the dance floor child free! We would be more than happy to assist in arranging either a group child minding situation or recommend some local people who will be able to help. Just let us know if you will require this.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please have your RSVPs in by 1 March 2025.

Do you have a gift registry?

Your gift of presence and support is all that we need on our special day. However, if you would like to give a gift, we will have a wishing well at our reception.

What will the weather be like?

Although impossible to predict we are expecting sunshine with day time temperatures of 25 degrees, getting to a low of 15 at night. We will be eating beneath the stars on sunset so consider something to pop on if you get cold of an evening.

Can I take photos?

We request that you do not take photos during the ceremony please and rather enjoy the moment with us in person. We will have professional photographers to capture the day. After that, feel free to snap away as you wish.

What is the timeline for the day?

Approximate times TBC closer: 1.30pm - arrival for 2.00pm ceremony || 2.30pm - photos, canapés and cocktails by the villa || 5pm sunset dinner || 7-10pm - dance the night away! || 9.30pm late night snack || 10.30pm bus departs.

Where are the ceremony and reception?

We like to keep it simple! Both the ceremony and reception will be located at Nutting Hill Villa. Once you arrive by bus you can settle in for the day knowing the rest of it has been taken care of.

How do I get to the venue? And can I drive my own car?

Unfortunately the venue requires all guests to arrive and depart via bus. We will provide a transfer service stopping in Clunes, Bangalow and Byron.

What time can I go home?

The Byron hinterland has a strict noise curfew. Music will be turned off at 10pm with busses departing by 10.30pm.

What food is provided? Should I eat lunch?

As the foodies that we are, rest assured you will not go hungry! We will be having an early dinner on sunset as well as canapes provided during cocktail hour. We recommend having a light lunch before you leave for the bus.

What drinks will be available?

We will provide all food and beverages for the day. Drinks available will be a range of beer, wine, soft drinks and a number of cocktail selections.

Can I bring a plus 1?

With only 50 guests we are having an extremely intimate wedding. This is to meet the requirements of the venue. Please get in touch ASAP if your significant other has not been included on the invitation.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Black tie is requested. Please join us in wearing black. See the dress code tab for more details. Also; our wedding day will be taking place on grassy areas at times, so ladies please keep this in mind when choosing your shoes for the day. As mentioned we will be dining under the stars, please bring a jacket if you feel the need.
