Will plans change if the weather is bad?
Probably not! The boat will still go out in rainy weather, and it should still be a very fun trip. There are lots of indoor and covered spaces on the Wenonah. There's also plenty of room inside the cottage to host all of the guests during reception if outdoor spaces can't be used.
where is there parking?
There's lots of free parking spaces in and around the Muskoka Wharf, so parking for the steamship ceremony shouldn't be difficult. At the cottage, there will be someone to help you navigate to a parking spot!
What is the food situation?
Our wedding will be catered by The Oar! There will be appetizers & a bar on the Wenonah after the ceremony. Back at the reception, we'll be serving dinner at 6pm, with a pork and a chicken option for the entree (those with dietary requirements will be able to serve themselves first). In lieu of a wedding cake, we'll be sharing assorted tarts and squares from our favourite bakery in Gravenhurst!
How late will the reception go?
We'll probably be eating around 6pm, but don't feel obliged to leave right after dinner! Some of our guests will likely stay overnight at the cottage with us, and we hope to have a long & laid-back evening enjoying your company.
Is there any other notable event that weekend?
Rachael's little sister, Amelia, is turning 20 on the 25th! She very graciously agreed to share her weekend with us. Tell her 'happy birthday' when you see her!
