Bree was born in Ashtabula, Ohio. He and his family moved to Cleveland two years later, where he spent the rest of his adolesence.

Rachael was born in Columbus, Ohio and spent her entire adolescence in Granville, Ohio.

Though Bree and Rachael rarely spoke at Ohio University, they had many friends in common, and often ended up at the same events.

Bree had been living in Nashville since 2016, and Rachael moved there in 2020. After spending more and more time together, they began dating.

Bree proposed to Rachael at his mom's house, with the help of Ace, his noble steed.
