Update on the wedding as of 7/17/21

Friends &&nbsp;Family,

We are so excited to see everyone soon!&nbsp;We will have welcome drinks for anyone in town on Thursday, July 22 from 6-9 pm at the upstairs part of The Point, Fells Point.Friday is wedding day, and we cannot wait to finally celebrate with you!&nbsp; We will have shuttles from the hotel to the venue 4pm and 4:30pm. The shuttle will be circling as needed all night.





























We hope everyone is healthy&nbsp;and well, and we can’t wait to see everyone then!

While the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather-permitting, the reception will be indoors. Please see below for safety precautions.











A note on safety precautions:











We are trying our best to make our wedding as safe for our loved ones as possible.&nbsp;For those who are joining in person, we will continue to update this list of precautions: - The venue is following CDC guidelines.- We ask that guests wear masks while indoors and not seated at their table, especially those who may not be vaccinated, in order to be as safe as possible. - Ceremony and cocktail hour&nbsp;will be outdoors, weather permitting. Reception likely indoors (note capacity is over 300 and we will be only a fraction). - The venue&nbsp;regularly performs deep cleans of the venue and equipment.











- Sanitizer stations are available by every major entrance.

We met on a dating app (you know, the old fashioned way...). Rachael was coming back from a work trip that night, and was too tired to want to go on a date. Luckily, her roommate convinced her to go, and she said "fine, but I'll be back in 30 minutes.“ (Romantic, right?) Doug turned out to be good-looking, funny, sweet, into sports, and a planner (major points for this part as anyone who knows Rach knows she's a big planner too). Well, three hours of laughing later (Rachael's roommate thought she got kidnapped) they had already established a second date. Murphy’s Law seemed to govern our next series of dates, but we still had a blast because of each other. A couple months later, we made it official, and Doug let the world know the only way he knew how - on Facebook. A few trips around the world, multiple football stadium visits, an&nbsp;apartment together, a new house purchased, a million laughs, and a lot of happiness later, and we're ready to take on life together. Stop by for drinks and light appetizers for those who are in town the night before. We have rented the top floor of&nbsp;The Point in Fells Point, Baltimore. The area is a beautiful, historic area in Baltimore with a lot of restaurants, bars, and&nbsp;shops.&nbsp;We can’t wait to see you there! 

Note: The tent is over cobblestone.

Our ceremony will be unplugged - we invite guests to put away their phones and be present with us for our ceremony.&nbsp;

Our new hotel has been booked with a room block. Simply call and let them know you are part of the Lisman &amp; Hoffmann Wedding. Our block room rates apply to July 22-24. We will provide a shuttle to/from this hotel (all aspects COVID-pending). **All who had originally booked at Turf Valley for the April date have been canceled and refunded.**

We will provide a shuttle to/from our room block hotel (The Hampton Inn Bayview Campus) at 4pm and 4:30pm. The shuttle will circle as needed for the night.



 Travel to Maryland: Train: Amtrak to Baltimore Penn Station. Uber/Cabs available to the hotel. Airplane: Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport is the closest airport to the hotel and venue. Uber/Cabs available to the hotel.
