This is the old historic core of Fort Myers, centred around First Street, and is populated with some wonderful early twentieth century architecture. The area isn’t huge and won’t take you long to walk around but if you’re in town it’s definitely worth a look and there are some great dining and drinking options. There is a large multi-storey car park at one end of First Street.

Manatee Kayaking Company offers a variety of activities including manatee eco-tours and kayak rentals. The park has short nature trails, butterfly gardens, playgrounds, and boardwalks to watch and enjoy the manatees in their natural habitat.
