Rachael's Love Story ❤️
7 years ago my friend and I decided to head to a bar called Oxfords. We saw there was a huge line which was a bit of a bummer, but as we were headed to the end of the line, someone caught my eye. He was the most attractive man I had ever seen! I could tell he noticed me, but I was too shy to look back. As we got in the bar I couldn't stop thinking about him. I dared my friend to go talk to someone she thought was attractive. I was secretly hoping she would dare me to do the same. She wasn't feeling it, so I worked up the courage and dared myself. I saw him across the bar and started walking over. I felt my face get beet red. I was so nervous. I tapped on his shoulder and as he turned around his eyes were mesmerizing. I started to completely forget what I was going to say, but then blurted out, "my friend dared me to talk to you. I think you're so attractive and I would love to get to know you." I asked for his number then realized it sounded desperate so I gave him my number so he had the option of messaging me. (I later told him I dared myself) 😳 We talked for over an hour and then my friend was ready to go. As we were in the car heading home I got a text saying hey come back to the bar! I was like ahhh!! I was so excited. So I ended up heading back to the bar and we stayed until close just talking and a bit of pda, which is very out of character for us, but our chemistry was unreal. I found the love of my life. Who would of thought I met my future husband at 4$ pitcher night at Oxfords. The rest is history and I am so glad I found the man of my dreams.
Our Story by Justin
Summer 2016 I was finally living back in Rochester after my time in the army. Only 23 years old, it had become the norm to go out to bars with friends. It was my time to just relax and enjoy not having the responsibilities and strict regimen that the military required. One bar in particular, Oxfords, had a $4 pitcher night every Wednesday over the summer and became sort of a staple for my friends and me. One Wednesday night towards the end of August, I was in line with some of my friends waiting to get into Oxfords. At the front of the line, I noticed one girl in particular. She had these side braids that just made her stand out and I found myself constantly looking over at her while we waited to get into the bar. After finally getting in, I turned my focus back to the main objective of the night... $4 pitchers. I was there to have cheap drinks with friends and watch some sports. A couple hours into the night I suddenly get a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and to my surprise it's the same girl I saw at the start of the night in line! She tells me she was dared by her friend to come talk to me and get my number. She ended up changing her mind and gave me hers instead. We talked for a bit and then she said she was leaving with her friends. Being a couple pitchers deep at this point and my buddies hyping me up a little bit I decided to test my luck and texted her asking if she could come back to the bar. For my second surprise of the night, she actually said yes! After she got back, we talked for hours. Never in a million years did I think I was talking to my future wife, but I couldn't imagine spending forever with anyone else!
