On August 1st, 2022, Zack received a message on a dating app. The message read something like: If you could switch a character who died and a character who survived in the Harry Potter books, who would they be? His answer was to switch Fred with Percy, and Racheal promptly told him why that wouldn’t have worked with the story.

That one conversation told them both that that they could get along, and helped set the tone for their whole relationship. From laughing at their impromptu stop to Home Depot during their second date, to a dog crashing Zack’s proposal plans, nothing has quite gone according to plan, but that’s life.

There’s no one else they’d rather laugh or cry with together, and cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together!

Racheal: My favorite date is the day we took a long drive after church and just dreamed about our future.

Zack: I think the Rubber Ducks baseball game might be my favorite so far.

Racheal: Avenging his dog…or his mom. I’m only sad he didn’t invite me.

Zack: tax evasion…no wait, tax fraud….no wait. Go back to evasion because fraud is too much like lying and she wouldn’t do that. Now, forget to file the taxes. That, I can see!

Zack: Probably Cowboy. You?
Racheal: I go back and forth. A pirate’s life seems more fun…but I hate the sea.
Zack: a love of the sea is a must for a pirate.
Racheal: it is…but they have cooler movies, cooler adventures, and cooler outfits.
Zack: The adventures are only cooler if the fantastical movies were accurate and the outfits are debatable.
Racheal: agree to disagree 😂
