The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at Birchwood Farms Golf & Country Club in Harbor Springs, MI. The ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm with a cocktail hour and reception to follow.

The closest and largest hotel block is the Colonial Inn in downtown Harbor Springs, but we also have a small block of rooms at the Quality Inn in Petoskey. You MUST call the hotels and ask for the Wade/Barry block to access the rooms/rate (phone numbers provided below). We also recommend looking into renting a house (see Birchwood Holiday Vacation Rental, VRBO, AirBnB) or checking out Boyne Highlands Resort. Additionally, Birchwood Inn is nearby. All spots have pros and cons, but most importantly we urge you to book early if you do not plan on staying in the block -- August in Northern Michigan is a very busy time! If you do plan on staying in the block, please make sure to book no later than July 2.

The reception will take place in the clubhouse, and is walking distance from the ceremony location on the 1st tee. There is free parking on site. Ride share is virtually nonexistent in the area, so do not rely on it for your ride. However, if you are in need of a designated driver we have arranged for a 32-passenger bus to run a route between Colonial Inn and the venue before the ceremony and after the reception. It will also do 1 trip from Quality Inn to Birchwood at 3:30 pm and run trips back there as needed post-reception. More details on expected shuttle times and a sign-up sheet will be provided when you check into a hotel block.

The closest airport is Pellston Regional Airport. It is very small, but has nonstop flights from Detroit. If you are coming from out of state and plan to rent a car, there are also airports in Traverse City (1 hr 40 min drive away), Grand Rapids (3 hr 30 min), Lansing (3 hr 30 min) and Detroit (4 hr 30 min).

We have lots of recommendations to share, so feel free to reach out to either of us anytime! Just a few ideas are exploring downtown Harbor Springs and Petoskey, hiking local trails at Pond Hill Farm or Thorne Swift, Saturday morning farmers' market in downtown Harbor Springs, renting kayaks or bicycles for a few hours, or having a beach day at Petoskey State Park.

In Harbor Springs, The Pier is a very nice spot right on the water or Pierson's is a great place for pizza (and they're open late!). In Petoskey, we love the Backlot for drinks and food trucks, Petoskey Brewery for sandwiches, or Beards Brewery for some amazing views. For cocktails, we highly recommend High Five and for breakfast you can't go wrong with Sam's Graces or Johan's.
