Local whale watching!

Take the ferry (10 minutes) across the channel to the Guemes Island general store for food, drink, and a great lawn. We go here in the summer time to watch for porpoises!

The iconic bridge!

This park has some great little hikes and a car-accessible loop. An incredible place to watch the sun set and maybe catch a whale or porpoise pod.

Park on the street on V place and 34th street, and take the trail towards the water. You can see seals, views of Mount Baker, and the lengthy bridge that takes you out onto the water. If you're feeling adventurous, keep walking about ten more minutes to Bastion brewery!

Incredible italian food, don't even look at the menu - the specials are the best choices. It's a fancy place, and is not cheap, but is so worth it.

Rachel says get an ice cream sandwich. Greg says order a scoop of ice cream right onto your hand.
