Our Wedding

Our story began when my family and I moved into a new neighborhood in 2007, and our next-door neighbors just happened to be the Wright family. During the summer, our families spent a lot of time together doing activities that included cookouts and pool days as well as trips to Callaway Gardens. Over the next couple years our families became very close friends and we spent a lot of time together. Growing up, Christopher would let my sister and I play Lego Star Wars with him and his brother Jack… but the girls were only allowed to collect the money (eye roll). We were all best friends growing up; we swam together, played on the trampoline, and even played iCarly together. As we got older we went to different middle schools, high schools and colleges so we lost touch. But I still stayed in touch with Mrs. Nancy and would house sit and dog sit for them from time to time.Our romantic story started at a neighborhood Christmas party in 2019. We grew up next door to each other, so we were both invited to this party. Rachel called Christopher and asked him to come to the party because there were no other young people there. After that, we started to talk more often and became closer and closer friends. The following Valentine’s Day in 2020 we went to Green Island for our first official date, although if you ask Rachel it definitely wasn’t a date. Once COVID hit, we walked around the neighborhood often to vent about the lock down, nursing school and being in close proximity to our families 24/7 which made our friendship continue to grow.When Rachel moved to Atlanta, despite the distance we continued to remain best of friends, either talking on the phone or FaceTime nearly every day. Once I moved to the Atlanta area to finish school, it did not take long for us to finally be officially dating. Through our up’s and downs Rachel was my biggest supporter and was always in my corner.When it finally came time to pop the question, I knew I wanted to do it at the beach. Rachel absolutely loves the beach and there couldn’t have been a better place to ask. Initially I had planned to ask in October of 2025, but as soon as I got the ring, I knew I couldn’t wait. With the help of Joe and Angie Howard and her family, somehow we were able to get her nails done, get her in a dress and surprise her!We are thankful for everyone who played a part in our relationship and bringing us together. We are excited to celebrate our day with you!-The soon to be, Mr. and Mrs. Wright

WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE TO THE VENUE?The wedding ceremony will start promptly at 5:00pm. Please arrive no later than 4:45pm. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?The ceremony will be outside. The dress code is black tie optional. For ladies, cocktail dresses may be between knee-length and floor-length. Men wear a matching jacket and pants suit, dressier than business casual but less formal than a tuxedo. Although tuxedos are welcomed! ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?Although we love all your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate everyone's children at our wedding due to restricted numbers and space. CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?We ask that you please refer back to your invitation. Your invitation will indicate if you have a plus one. We have a limited number of guest due to venue space, which is why we are unable to accommodate plus ones for all of our guests. We hope you understand and can still join us for our special day. CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?We're having an unplugged ceremony. We'd love for you to be present in the moment - our photographer will capture everything! You are free and welcomed to take all the pictures you would like at the reception.
