Our Wedding

Well, it started a little over a decade ago, if you can believe that! Chase's father, Chris, and Rachel's stepdad, Rick, had known each other and been close friends for many years. So, when Rachel flew home from Nashville to see family, Chase was always there, as he was so special to our family. When they say, "mothers know best" THAT'S RIGHT! Rachel's mom, Charla, would always try to set them up. At one point, she had invited both of them over for dinner without each other's knowledge, and let's just say it was the most awkward dinner ever LOL! Years flew by and even though there was always a crush on both ends, the timing was never right. Then one beautiful summer day on June 28, 2021, Rachel decided to go to the Denton Country Club for lunch with her friend, Erin. Rachel and Erin sat at a corner table looking amongst everyone else eating, and in walks a man off the golf course with his head down . . bigger ball cap . . face hidden. . but something about his stature caught her eye. He was beelining his way towards her table. She stops. She gets nervous. When the man lifts his head, she realizes who it is and starts sweating with giddy and nervousness. He sat down to join them, and they proceeded to all hang out and talk for quite some time. He tells Rachel that he will call her to get together sometime, but TWO WEEKS go by and nothing. All of the sudden, he asks her out and it happened. Rachel met him at the date so in case things went south she could leave. The night went great and for the most part they never spent a day a part!! AND THE REST IS HISTORY!! Thanks mom!
