It was the bottom of the 7th inning, Pirates playing a stellar home game. Bases loaded. No outs. Pirates at bat.

Kaylene was at the game with some college friends, Rachel was with her own friend group a section over.

It was Dollar Dog night!

Kaylene decided to get 2 more hot dogs for the night so she left to go stand in the concession line. Rachel had the same idea. Standing four people behind, Rachel spotted Kaylene laughing with some of her friends and instantly caught feelings. Rachel got the bright idea to chat her up at the condiment stand as soon as she got her order.

Rachel walked up beside Kaylene as she was getting her food ready and she made some lame joke about wanting to "ketchup" to her to say "Excuse me you dropped this..." and proceeds to hand Kaylene her phone number.

Sike! - we met on Bumble (Buzz Buzz)

Kaylene was attending CalU, her senior year. Rachel was working in Greensburg. They decided to take a chance, being that they lived 40 mins from each other and started dating end of November of 2019.

Kaylene had gone home to her parents for winter break so Rachel trekked allllll the way up the mountain to Altoona to visit on December 31st. Kaylene took her to a popular graffiti area where Rachel proceeded to ask Kaylene to be "official" by spray painting one of the walls for her. She said yes.

Flash forward to October 7, 2023 and Rachel took Kaylene to Color Park a Pittsburgh area where it is actually legal to spray paint the surroundings. Rachel saw this as the perfect place to ask Kaylene to marry her. Mimicking her original art back in 2019, Rachel asked Kaylene to marry her.

She said yes.
