Our Story

Jose and Rachel first met at one of her birthday parties. Jose tagged along with their mutual friend Elias, and he didn’t want to impose on a party he was not invited to. He was about to head out, but Rachel insisted he stay and enjoy the food. Jose did stay and this was how they first became friends. Later that year Rachel’s sister, Debbie, and one of Jose’s best friends, Noe, were getting married. Both Rachel and Jose were in the wedding party and Debbie and Noe paired them up to walked down the aisle together (The picture above is both Rachel &amp; Jose at that wedding). Little did anyone know that nearly 4 years later, Rachel &amp; Jose would be walking down the aisle again but this time to marry each other.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This sparked their friendship and later that same year in October 2019, Rachel &amp; Jose went to Six Flags with mutual friends. This is where Rachel &amp; Jose started to like each other. They began to text each other almost every-day and would see each other every Sunday at church.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;When COVID hit the world, this meant no more meeting in person, and everyone began to conduct church online. Rachel’s family invited Jose to come over Sundays to watch service online together. This drew Rachel &amp; Jose closer together as he would also stay to eat with her and her family after service. Although there were hardships in 2020 Rachel &amp; Jose found blessings through it. Throughout 2020 Rachel &amp; Jose grew closer to each other and Jose asked Rachel to become his girlfriend in September of that year.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Two years went by with both Jose &amp; Rachel making memories and sharing new experiences together. They went to Disney World together with family, they went whitewater rafting for the first time, Jose took Rachel to see the snow fall for the first time, and they enjoyed holidays with both of their families.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;All these memories building up, the shared experiences made, and the bond and growth of their relationship only strengthen their love for one another. With all this and with God’s guidance Jose asked Rachel’s parents for their blessing to marry her in March 2022. His parents were thrilled to have Rachel become a part of their family as well. With the joy and blessing of both families he began to plan out how he would propose to Rachel. He decided to take both of Rachel’s sisters (Debbie &amp; Sarah) with him to pick a ring. In the end Jose customized the engagement ring he knew Rachel would love. He was so excited to show his brothers (Jorge &amp; Jonathan) as well, because Jose knew that they were excited for their own brother to be getting married.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;With the help of Jose’s parents and his brothers, along with Rachel’s parents, sisters, and cousins Jose planned the perfect way to propose to Rachel. They took a trip to San Francisco with family and when they had a beautiful view of the Golden Gate bridge in the back and getting it all on video, Jose got down on one knee and proposed to Rachel. Without hesitation Rachel accepted, knowing that Jose was the man she always prayed for.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Now they are excited to have you all there with them to celebrate their union in marriage and have an amazing night all about love, family, fun, laughter, and a new adventure that both Rachel &amp; Jose are ready to embark and experience together.
