John and Rachel met in 2020 mid-pandemic and while he was undergoing chemotherapy treatment for his second cancer diagnosis. Throughout all of the chaos, they each knew one thing was for certain- they liked each other. He could only ever see her eyes because of the mask mandates, but he was immediately drawn to them. He asked his oncologist and nurses about her, while she did her own research on him via social media. One thing led to another and they ended up messaging, which eventually led to hanging out, which led to becoming a couple. Four short years later, he popped the question at their favorite place: The Outer Banks, North Carolina. They can’t wait to tie the knot and celebrate their love with all of you.
