FAQs

What is the recommended attire?

Colorful Cocktail. What does "colorful cocktail" mean? We believe life is better in color. We're getting married in the springtime, on the most gorgeous hilltop meadow and we hope you'll join us in a color that makes you feel alive and fun! This is a multi-level, outdoor venue with occasional uneven ground (gravel, grass, etc.). If you wish to wear heels (heels are fabulous, I would too), a thicker heel or wedge may be more comfortable for walking! Need some inspo? https://pin.it/5hhrgsP

About the Venue

Julian is a beautiful mountain town east of San Diego, but accessing this scenic place requires navigating a road that is remote, winding, and in the evening, poorly lit. We want everyone to have a fun and safe time celebrating, so we strongly suggest guests to enjoy a weekend in the mountains and stay in Julian the night of the wedding. Please see the Travel & Accommodations page for more details on where to stay in town.

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive around 3:30 PM PST. The town of Julian often gets visitors at all times of year which could create some traffic slow down. Please allow ample time to get to the venue on our wedding day. Kindly plan to arrive at Sacred Mountain around 30 minutes before the ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 4 PM promptly. This will allow time for transportation to the ceremony site to take in the spectacular views before the festivities begin.

Preparing for the big event:

Our wedding will be held entirely outdoors in a variety of settings with uneven terrain. Sacred Mountain is situated at approximately 4500 feet above sea level and the mountains cool down in the evenings. Please consider these conditions ahead of your arrival. Staff at Sacred Mountain will be happy to help give you a lift if you need some assistance getting around the property.
