The Summer of 2014 is where it all began. Dean and Rachel met through some mutual friends for the first time at McKinley Firehouse Field. The stars shone bright that night but not as bright as the sparks between Dean and Rachel. After a high school year of talking and being friends, they both went on to attend Penn State University for Summer Session. That’s where their love really kicked off. They began spending more time with each other, until August 21st 2015 at Spruce Street Harbor Park where Dean finally mustered up the courage to ask Rachel, “Will you be my girlfriend?” To which Rachel swiftly replied, “No…haha just kidding. Yes!”
They spent the next 8+ years building memories and going on many adventures. From going to tailgates, football games, and graduating PSU, to getting the most perfect dog, Bowie, buying a house and even visiting places like Italy and Puerto Rico, Dean and Rachel never stopped making each other laugh.
At last, on May 3rd 2024, Dean brought Rachel back to the place where their adventure officially began, Spruce Street Harbor Park. Dean got down on one knee and asked Rachel, “Will you marry me?”
This time, Rachel with a smile and tears in her eyes exclaimed, “Yes!” Now Dean and Rachel excitedly wait in anticipation for their wedding day on June 28th 2025 to start a brand new chapter in their relationship and continue to make more memories for the rest of their lives.
