Jacob and Rachel met in the Spring of 2018 at Oklahoma State University. Between Rachel's sister Dalacy, the Chi Omega/FarmHouse Homecoming pairing, and their match-making friends, these two had several "chance" encounters to hit things off. Yet, it wasn't until Jacob, without a costume, convinced Rachel to bring him onto her date party bus that the two became a pair.

Rachel was drawn to Jacob's charisma and chivalry. Jacob was drawn to Rachel's compassionate heart and glowing aura. Jacob and Rachel quickly became each other's best friend. They enjoy spending all their time together. From Rachel flying to visit Jacob their first summer together in Washington, DC. to road tripping to California to see their best friends become married, these two have been on adventures from coast to coast. However, their favorite things to do together are skiing, hiking, and hunting in the Sierra Nevadas, farming and ranching for Rachel's parents, watching OSU football, spending time with friends and family, and going to church.

In October 2020, Jacob proposed to Rachel on her front porch in Stillwater, a place where the two love to sit on summer evenings and dream about their life together.

In May, Rachel will graduate from Oklahoma State University with a bachelors in Nutritional Sciences. In August, she will began an eight-month-long internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in ordered to obtain her license as a registered dietitian nutritionist. Jacob is currently in his second year of law school at the University of Oklahoma. Once the couple completes their post-graduate education, they will move to Virginia where Jacob will continue his career in the Marine Corps.

Jacob and Rachel do not know where the Lord's plan will take them but they are excited to experience new seasons of life together. They look forward to one day raising a family back home in Oklahoma.
