Cairn View Winery is a charming local winery located within Jasper, GA. We have had the great pleasure of visiting Cairn View Winery while exploring all that Jasper has to offer. The wine is great and the company there is even better! There is a reason why we chose this spot to hold our rehearsal dinner and we both feel that you will enjoy it as well if you choose to visit!
Although we have not had the pleasure of visiting Sharp Mountain Vineyards yet, we have heard nothing but great things about this local winery. With the same beautiful view of Sharp Mountain as our wedding venue, we are sure that a visit here would not disappoint! We are also excited to be able to support this family-owned winery and provide their wine during our reception!
North Georgia is definitely known for their great local vineyards and wineries and Fainting Goat is another one to still check off our list, but is very popular in the area. Just by looking at their pictures, the views say enough about this place! We also added bonus points for the fainting goats and Great Pyrenees dogs on property!
This wonderful little restaurant located within historic downtown Jasper left a great impression on us while visiting the area. Great food, service, and local live music is all you can ask for at this quaint hangout spot. Don't forget to checkout all of the other local shops and restaurants within the area as well!
Who would I be (Rachel) without suggesting horseback riding as something fun to do in North Georgia? I am somehow able to convince Tyler to trail ride together during our trips to North Georgia, which if you know Tyler is no easy task. It must have something to do with the great views we often get during our rides in the area. Here is just one of many places to ride at if it strikes your interest. I also know of other places that offer trail rides in Ellijay as well as Blue Ridge.
This is one of many orchards that we have visited around the area. It will be the start of apple picking season during our wedding weekend! They also offer wildflower picking, tractor rides, and have a bakery/market that are full of locally grown/baked goodies!
If you are up for the drive (about 35-40 minutes or so from the venue) my parents have visited and talked about the beauty of Gibbs Gardens on more than one occasion, so it definitely sounds like a must-see!
