Activities in Dripping Springs

- Shop in the Historic District

The Historic District has a charming collection of boutiques along Mercer Street and Old Fitzhugh Road. Within a few steps, you can find vintage-inspired decor at Vintage Soul TX, stylish and unique clothes and jewelry at Starrs on Mercer, and a little bit of everything old and new from 40+ different vendors at Lone Star Gifts.

-Visit a Dripping Springs winery

The Dripping Springs area has several great wineries to choose from. I suggest trying both Duchman Family Winery in Driftwood and the Sidecar Tasting Room, an outpost of Bell Springs Winery in the center of town.

- Archery & Axe Throwing

Located at Camp Lucy you can do both guided archery and axe throwing. This is located right across from the check in station at Camp Lucy.

- Hiking

Both Austin and Dripping Springs are known for its trails and winding wooded areas great for hiking and outdoors

-Self-guided Birdwatching

As part of Camp Lucy's wildlife management activities, they conduct regular bird surveys at Camp Lucy. Visit the Lodging Office for binoculars. Fellow birdwatchers, please let us know what you see!

-Fishing (Catch and Release)

Some go fishing for contemplation and quiet reflection others for catfish and bluegill — either way, Camp Lucy has you covered, Huck Finn! All fishing is catch and release. Visit the Lodging Office for maps and equipment.
