Some tips if you are visiting or unfamiliar with San Francisco and the Greater Bay Area:

1) Do not believe the horror stories! San Francisco is a beautiful city with so much to offer. We are spoiled rotten in terms of amazing food, museums, grand views, and fun things to do. 2) That said...be careful and safe! There are some areas of SF that should not be on your to-do list and maybe avoided altogether. This is a city so be aware of your surroundings and watch your belongings.

3) Do NOT leave anything in your car! Car break-ins occur everywhere, but especially in tourist areas. Even if electronics are out of sight, that does not mean they are safe. If you need to leave things in your vehicle, have a person act as a lookout.

4) Weather! It can change drastically neighborhood to neighborhood. We live in a city with micro-climates. October tends to be our hot month, but it cools down at night. Always dress in layers.
