Kyle and Rachel both landed at KETK NBC in Tyler for their for first jobs in news. Kyle worked weekend weather, while Rachel did weekend reporting.

After a little more than six months of awkwardly working together Kyle asked Rachel to go on a date to a Longview trampoline park. Rachel fractured her ankle on their first date and had to wear an ankle boot for six weeks. Kyle continued to date Rachel out of guilt, and the rest is history
