Dress Code
Cocktail Attire: Suit (jacket encouraged, tie optional), formal separates, dressy jumpsuits, and cocktail dresses are all welcome. Given potentially chilly fall weather, dresses with longer hemlines are also encouraged.
Please no t-shirts. Tuxes and ball gowns can also be left at home.
Keep in mind that this is an old French neighborhood with lots of brick streets and sidewalks.
It would mean a lot to us if you dressed in our colors. We encourage you to wear burgundy/deep reds, dusty/darker pink, mustard yellow, emerald green, burnt orange, midnight blue, and gold.
What is late-October weather like in St. Louis?
The week of October, 25, 2024, the weather included highs of 80 and lows of 39, so make sure to check in on the weather just before you pack. No matter what the weather says, we suggest bringing a raincoat if you have one.
Parking for the Ceremony and Reception Venues
Trinity Lutheran has a parking lot directly North of the church with several spots. The Franklin also has a gated lot for parking at the reception. There are also spots along the street for parking. We encourage carpooling as possible to ensure we do not over-max our space. All parking in the parking lot and along the street is free in Soulard.
Accessibility
Trinity Lutheran's main entrance requires the use of stairs to get into the sanctuary space, but other entrances have ramp access.
At the Franklin, you can expect two flights of stairs to access the reception hall. For those who require assistance, there is an elevator. The couple will have someone available to assist as needed.
Are children invited?
All children are welcome. This wedding/reception will include several children ranging in age from 6 months old and older. If your child is attending but will not need a meal provided, we do ask you be sure to let us know. We have limited high chairs available for the dinner, so we ask that these be reserved for out of town guests. If you live near St. Louis, we ask you to bring your own high chair.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
... If you were given one on your invite ...
What's for dinner?
The complete menu is still being finalized. The dinner will be plated and served at your seats, with passed hors d'oeuvres beforehand. Your invitation will have all options available. Rest assured there will be vegetarian and child-friendly options.
