It was destined to be since the engineers of Hinge deemed Rachel and Steve most compatible.

After engaging in some banter on Hinge, the two exchanged numbers and set up their first date 10 days after matching. Ensuring that they were still set for later that day, Rachel tried to be witty and incorporate what they connected on.

The two meet at the 2nd Ave Deli's speakeasy (which took them 10 minutes to find the entrance, showcasing that they could problem solve together.) After conversing for hours, Steve was a gentleman and walked Rachel home, making sure she didn't get blown away from the strong winds that night. Conveniently for him, he didn't have to go far as they found out they only lived a block away from one another. When she got the "next day/mid day text" she knew he was smitten.
