Seal Beach Fish Fry - 17 July 2023

Destined Paths Cross

Rachel (aka Rocky) and I met at a community fundraiser hosted for 80 years by the Lions Club, The Seal Beach French Fry.(Everyone kept trying to tell me it is "Fish Fry", so finally I looked it up in the local paper, and...yeah...it's Fish Fry. But they serve Fish and French Fries...sooo...)

Throughout the day, we talked and danced and mingled and pleasantly realized that we had many mutual friends. We discovered that we both loved being near the beach, listening to live music, dancing, and sharing common faith in God. I couldn't believe my luck when Rachel said she also loves to watch professional soccer!

As time went on, our love grew; and we felt like it was a match made in heaven. Rachel loves Halloween; so on October 26th 2024, Chris hatched a plan to propose during the Halloween Costume Contest at Taco Surf; he was dressed as Prince Eric, and the lovely Rachel was dressed as Princess Ariel. It's been a blessing ever since.

Memories Made

We married in a small, private ceremony at Eisenhower Park near the Seal Beach Pier, where we first met.
