We met in January of 2017 through Brittney and Cody Garrett. He had known Cody since childhood, and I met Brittney at work four years ago. Chris recently moved back to Muncie from Indianapolis. At first, we were just friends. I remember vividly one of the first nights we hung out that he actually let me play ping pong against him, even though I have ZERO hand eye coordination skills. As the weeks passed, many of our mutual friends began to hint that we should start talking, but we both denied it for a while. But one Saturday at bowling----yes bowling, he bought me a drink and I began to see him in a new way.....(it may have been the cheap Bud Light). After that, we began snapchatting constantly, and eventually started talking. I went on a two week vacation in March and April to New York City and Mexico, and the thing I remember the most is talking to Chris. On the cruise I would pray that a snapchat would go through! (I did enjoy the beach as well :) ) When I returned, we began to see each other consistently, and by May 3rd I convinced him to be my boyfriend. We ended up buying a home in Muncie on June 27th (my 25th birthday). We were excited to start our lives together with Hazel and Indie! I knew that marriage was in our future, and began pressuring him for a ring around October. He completely surprised me with a dream proposal in Indianapolis on November 17th. We are so excited to be getting married exactly a year later on November 17th, 2018. We can't wait to continue adding to our story for years and years to come.
