Our Wedding

<p>Hello!&nbsp;As&nbsp;most&nbsp;of&nbsp;you&nbsp;know,&nbsp;Don&nbsp;and&nbsp;Rachel&nbsp;have&nbsp;been&nbsp;long-time&nbsp;sweethearts,&nbsp;high&nbsp;school&nbsp;sweethearts&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;exact!&nbsp;Don&nbsp;and&nbsp;Rachel&nbsp;met&nbsp;when&nbsp;Don&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;sophomore&nbsp;and&nbsp;Rachel,&nbsp;a&nbsp;freshman,&nbsp;in&nbsp;Biology&nbsp;class.&nbsp;Rachel&nbsp;was&nbsp;in&nbsp;an&nbsp;advanced&nbsp;class&nbsp;of&nbsp;all&nbsp;sophomores,&nbsp;except&nbsp;her.&nbsp;She&nbsp;was&nbsp;extremely&nbsp;nervous&nbsp;and&nbsp;Don&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;smiling&nbsp;face&nbsp;that&nbsp;was&nbsp;there&nbsp;to&nbsp;welcome&nbsp;her.&nbsp;They&nbsp;became&nbsp;close&nbsp;and&nbsp;started&nbsp;to&nbsp;date,&nbsp;however,&nbsp;it&nbsp;came&nbsp;to&nbsp;an&nbsp;end&nbsp;soon&nbsp;thereafter&nbsp;as&nbsp;Rachel&nbsp;was&nbsp;too&nbsp;nervous&nbsp;to&nbsp;really&nbsp;talk&nbsp;and&nbsp;get&nbsp;to&nbsp;know&nbsp;Don.&nbsp;After&nbsp;they&nbsp;broke&nbsp;up,&nbsp;they&nbsp;began&nbsp;to&nbsp;talk&nbsp;and&nbsp;became&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;Fast&nbsp;forward&nbsp;to&nbsp;Don's&nbsp;senior&nbsp;year&nbsp;and&nbsp;Rachel's&nbsp;junior&nbsp;year&nbsp;at&nbsp;which&nbsp;point&nbsp;they&nbsp;were&nbsp;best&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;They&nbsp;admitted&nbsp;to&nbsp;each&nbsp;other,&nbsp;over&nbsp;text,&nbsp;that&nbsp;they&nbsp;still&nbsp;had&nbsp;feelings,&nbsp;so&nbsp;Don&nbsp;asked&nbsp;Rachel&nbsp;out...again!&nbsp;He&nbsp;was&nbsp;in&nbsp;his&nbsp;tux&nbsp;after&nbsp;a&nbsp;band&nbsp;concert&nbsp;<3.&nbsp;They&nbsp;started&nbsp;dating&nbsp;the&nbsp;second&nbsp;time&nbsp;around,&nbsp;on&nbsp;December&nbsp;17th&nbsp;of&nbsp;2013,&nbsp;and&nbsp;have&nbsp;been&nbsp;together&nbsp;since!&nbsp;There&nbsp;have&nbsp;shared&nbsp;many&nbsp;life&nbsp;events&nbsp;such&nbsp;as&nbsp;going&nbsp;off&nbsp;to&nbsp;school&nbsp;to&nbsp;Platteville,&nbsp;helping&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;through&nbsp;many&nbsp;major&nbsp;losses,&nbsp;and&nbsp;supporting&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;with&nbsp;school.&nbsp;The&nbsp;largest&nbsp;life&nbsp;events&nbsp;thus&nbsp;far,&nbsp;has&nbsp;been&nbsp;welcoming&nbsp;their&nbsp;amazing&nbsp;son,&nbsp;Emmett!&nbsp;Don&nbsp;and&nbsp;Rachel&nbsp;have&nbsp;grown&nbsp;so&nbsp;much&nbsp;with&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;and&nbsp;truly&nbsp;are&nbsp;the&nbsp;best&nbsp;of&nbsp;friends&nbsp;and&nbsp;partners&nbsp;for&nbsp;life.&nbsp;They&nbsp;are&nbsp;so&nbsp;grateful&nbsp;that&nbsp;you&nbsp;have&nbsp;been&nbsp;there&nbsp;to&nbsp;support&nbsp;them&nbsp;through&nbsp;their&nbsp;journey&nbsp;and&nbsp;will&nbsp;join&nbsp;them&nbsp;in&nbsp;celebrating&nbsp;their&nbsp;love&nbsp;and&nbsp;marriage...it&nbsp;has&nbsp;been&nbsp;a&nbsp;long&nbsp;time&nbsp;coming!</p>

Hello! My name is Sara Schulteis, I have known Rachel for what feels like most of my life, technically all of hers. As one of Rachel’s older sisters, I can honestly say that is accurate. :) 
A little bit about me; I am happily married to my High School Sweetheart, Cody. We have a 3 year old little boy who always keeps us on our toes, and two fur babies (a lab-mix and an Irish Wolfhound). I am a Social Worker by day, and in my few minutes of free time I like watching tv, listen to audiobooks or podcasts, and scrolling through Facebook marketplace to look at random items I am never going to actually buy. I am fortunate to say I have so many great memories with Rachel that it’s hard to pick just one. If I had to pick a highlight, it would have to be rapping her Maid of Honor speech at my wedding. I am so honored to be standing next to Rachel on her wedding day!

Sara Schulteis 

My name is Erin Kuechler and I am the oldest sister in the Milligan clan. I have known Rachel her entire life and made it to the hospital an hour or so after she was born. I am a mom of 3 amazing and very active and busy kids. Which has allowed me to travel all across the state of Wisconsin and even the surrounding states for tournaments and competitions. Austin is 25, Aiden is 17 and Allison is14. Rachel and my oldest son Austin are just about 2.5 years or so apart in age so they basically grew up together, hung out with a lot of the same friends which included Don and they all went away together to college at UW Platteville.  In my very limited "free time" I have for myself where I am not a chauffeur, cheering on and volunteering at their various games, meets, tournaments, and competitions I enjoy reading, watching tv and going to eat with friends or playing extreme bingo.

Hey there! My name is also Rachel and I am one of Rachel’s bridesmaids. 

I have known Rachel since 6th grade and have been best friends ever since! From Silverbrook, to high school, our time at Cow Pie (UW Washington county) and all the way to this day, Rachel and I have been inseparable since! We were always considered a dynamic duo called Rachel squared. To our many late night venting sessions, visiting eachother in college between Platteville & Madison, we always remained by eachother’s side. Rachel is the most caring and compassionate human I have ever met and feel honored to have such a long-lasting and beautiful friendship that I will cherish forever! 

I love Rachel & Don with all my heart and am SO excited to celebrate their long awaited and most special day at their sides!

Hi everyone,
I’m Hailey. Rachel is one of my best friends. I first met Don working at Ace Hardware in high school. In 2017, we asked to crash at his campsite at CUSA and I met his beautiful bride, Rachel. We bonded instantly, thanks to our shared interest…tequila. In that first week of meeting, she went from doing drunken slip n slides to taking care of my hangover the next day. She showed her wild side but her motherly instinct still showed through. I was 100% sure that first week that her and Don would be friends of ours for life.

Hailey Gunsburg

Hi, my name is Emily and I’m one of Rachel’s Bridesmaids! 

I met Rachel when we were just in elementary school… or maybe even earlier? It’s so difficult to remember 20+ years ago lol. I consider Rachel to be one of my closest friends. My sister from another mister 💜💚 and I know we will continue being besties for the rest of our lives! 

One of my favorite memories with Rachel was when we were freshman in high school and it was the summertime and randomly I get a call from her asking if I wanted to go to Summerfest to see Imagine Dragons… like, right. now. 20 minutes later I was picked up and we were all on our way. We had such a fun time walking around the Summerfest grounds, which included trying on various silly sunglasses, and having a photoshoot in front of a “lost child area” sign 😂 such an amazing night dancing and singing, I’ll never forget that 🤍

Abby is Rachel’s friend and future sister-in-law! Abby and Rachel instantly began to form a friendship when Abby joined the family and Rachel helped her adjust to the craziness that comes along with being part of a big family. We have shared many laughs together and look forward to making more memories on Don and Rachel’s special day!

Hi All! I'm Kristi! Rachel's sister-in-law. I have to thank my husband (Mitchell) for bringing me into the family! Which means I gained many brothers & sisters! Including Rachel! I'm a mom of 3 crazy kids (ages 5, 2, & 2) & a dog! So keeping up with them is what we "try" to do! In my spare time, I enjoy walks, reading, volleyball, & baking!

Alan is the Best Man and younger brother of Donald. Through multiple years and many memories (and one screen door) Donald and Alan have formed a relationship that is unbreakable. They have shared many laughs over the most mundane of things, and have many memories that they will surely be able to laugh about throughout the rest of their lives as they continue to build more.

HI I’m Travis one of the groomsmen. I met don when we were kids we both grew up together in the same subdivision. I first met Rachel  in speech class in college. The first time I meet them together was 2017 at CUSA.

Travis Cleven

My name is Matt and I am one of Don’s groomsmen. 

I became closer with Don through Rachel back in high school during band class and we have been friends since. I originally met Don in elementary school where we both had the pleasure of pushing our friend Mario around school in a wheelchair together after his surgery. As we grew older, my fondest memory with Don and Rachel was in college when the two of them visited me in Madison to participate in an annual snow ball fight and sliding down Bascom Hill on lunch trays.

I now have the pleasure of having Emmett as one of my patients. I am truly excited for this wonderful and long awaited day. 

Mathew Albinger

Me and Rachel go way back to middle school when we met in percussion camp and have been best of friends ever since. I met Donald in highschool during band and we didn't become close until after he and rachel got together. Then we got drunk one night and become best buds!

Edward Gerber

I am in the unique position to have probably known Don and Rachel combined for the longest period of time. Don and I met in band, blowing horns (of the trumpet variety) next to each other for the better part of our high school years. Don and I had our own spark (welding class) in high school. We were in the same Auto Tech classes and welding classes. Don and I also worked together at Tennies Hardware for years. When it comes to Rachel, our mothers were best friends. I have known Rachel since she was born and we've been friends for just as long. 

Travis Eickstead

I have known Rachel since she was born as I am her older brother.  I am honored to be helping them celebrate their marriage as they were able to do when Kristi and I got married.  I am so excited for Rachel and Don as they have been together for a long time and have been working so hard to make this day possible.  I am a dad of a 5 year old daughter and twin boys that are 2, so I am quite busy!  When not chasing the kids or my wife, I am an IT Superhero by day and a Volunteer Ski Patroller and medical trainer by evening.  I am a certified Outdoor Emergency Care (EMT for the outdoors) instructor and American Heart Association CPR instructor and really enjoy helping others in any way I can.  I enjoy the outdoors and have enjoyed several hunting trips with Rachel and even one with Don where he bagged the most points of that particular hunting trip ;)  I wish them many blessings in their marriage and am thrilled to stand up with them for the big day.

Mitchell Milligan

My name is Tim Milligan. I am one of Rachel's numerous older siblings. Needless to say, I've known Rachel her entire life. 

I met Don in 2013 when Rachel introduced Don to our family. I didn't have an initial opinion of Don. But, he certainly grew on us. At this point, I would consider Don not only one of my best friends and someone I can count on, but he has certainly become Family. I'm glad Don proposed and even more that Rachel said Yes! 

I am also the most fun of all the siblings. Don is my golf buddy. If there is golfing to be done, he is my first call. Not as much this year, with the new addition to their family. Which is completely understandable, and worth celebrating. You can see the love they share in how they take care of Emmett. 

They will be wonderful together, and I wish them nothing but the best for their entire life together! ❤️

I&nbsp;met&nbsp;Don&nbsp;when&nbsp;I&nbsp;started&nbsp;&nbsp;working&nbsp;at&nbsp;Ward&nbsp;and&nbsp;Kennedy.&nbsp;He&nbsp;is&nbsp;definitely&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;funniest&nbsp;and&nbsp;nicest&nbsp;friends&nbsp;one&nbsp;can&nbsp;meet&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;happy&nbsp;for&nbsp;both&nbsp;he&nbsp;and&nbsp;Rachel
