What type of food will be served and will there be an open bar?
When guests arrive, there will be a welcome beverage station.
Throughout the night there will be two bars serving drinks.
During the cocktail hour there will be a stationary appetizer and various passed appetizers.
When you RSVP on our wedding site, you'll be able to choose from one of the three dinner options we've selected. It will be a plated / sit down dinner.
We will have an assortment of desserts and a late night snack as well!
What hotel accommodations are available?
We have a hotel block with the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Westport/Fall River. It is located at 41 Old Bedford Road, Westport, MA.
To take advantage of the hotel block rate, please be sure to book your reservation by Friday, September 13th, 2024.
There are multiple other hotel options in the area as well.
How do we take advantage of the hotel block?
Please use the travel information on our site for the hotel or call the hotel directly.
Will there be transportation available?
Yes, we have booked a private shuttle bus through the TownePlace Suites hotel that will bring our wedding guests, who are also hotel guests, to and from the wedding venue throughout the evening.
If you do not have your own means of transportation or do not wish to drive yourself and will not be staying at the TownePlace Suites, we highly recommend coordinating to carpool with another guest or using Lyft or Uber services.
Is there parking on-site at the venue?
Yes, there is free parking on-site at the venue. We do advise that parking is limited.
How will I know where to go once I arrive at the venue?
The venue is not particularly large. There is an outdoor lawn area, adjacent to the parking lot and main venue building, where the ceremony will take place. Signs will be on display to guide guests as well.
What time is everything going to start?
Please plan to arrive for 4PM.
If you are going to use the shuttle service and hotel block, please plan accordingly since other guests will be using the service as well. It is first come / first serve. It will be running in 30-minute increments.
Is the wedding outside or inside?
The ceremony is planned to be held outside, weather permitting. The reception will be hosted inside.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We will be requesting guests to refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony and special dances during the reception. We hope our guests understand that during the ceremony and reception there will be professional photographers / videographers documenting the evening. We want to set them up for success and ensure no one interferes with flashes or mobile screens. There will also be a photo-booth at the reception where guests can take as many keepsake photos as possible.
Will children or plus-ones be invited?
The venue is limited in guest capacity. Due to this reason, the only children we are able to include are our nieces and nephews. Invitations will be sent out and addressed to guests with clear indication of who is included in the invitation or if you've been given a plus-one! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Does the venue have a dress code?
Bittersweet does not require a dress code. However, we request everyone will come looking and feeling their best in either formal or cocktail attire.
Do you have a wedding registry or will you be accepting gifts?
If you would like to honor us with a gift, we have a wedding registry that is a work in progress. We ask that registry gifts be sent directly to our home. A wedding card box will also be at our reception.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
There will be a cocktail hour directly after the ceremony. Lawn games will be available during this time as well.
