It seems the inventors of Hinge knew what they were talking about when they named it “the app that’s meant to be deleted.” While Drew likes to tell people they met at the grocery store when he was helping Rachel reach for the Honey Nut Cheerios, Drew’s actual opening line was even sweeter than sugary cereal: he told her he was a sucker for a nice smile. Rachel made fun of how cheesy he was, and the rest is history. (Though we’re still waiting on Hinge to sponsor the wedding.) @Hinge, challah at us.
From the start, our adventures together have been nothing short of magical. Okay, maybe "magical" is a stretch for dating in the middle of a pandemic, but finding joy and laughter in each moment has shown us that it doesn’t matter what we’re doing, as long as we’re doing it together. Whether we're enjoying a day at Camden Yards, axe throwing (Rachel is surprisingly skilled), going on trips, trying new restaurants during restaurant week, or exploring hiking trails with our favorite fuzzy dude, Cooper, we've always found ways to make every moment special.
Speaking of Cooper, our furry companion has been an integral part of our lives. While he's still adjusting to supporting both the Ravens and his dad's beloved NY Giants, he's already given his approval of our wedding by sneakily taste-testing the cake. According to Cooper, it's definitely edible (and delicious), so you know it’s going to be good!
Our journey took an unforgettable turn when Drew proposed to Rachel in Woodstock, NY, atop a breathtaking waterfall. Despite a change of plans that led us off-trail, the moment was perfect as we gazed over the Hudson Valley and Drew asked Rachel to spend forever together. She said yes, and since then, we've been overwhelmed with love and support from family and friends as we prepare for our wedding day.
We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you and create more beautiful memories as husband and wife.
