Our Wedding

Brendon and Rachel first met in college in September 2019. Rachel played softball while Brendon played baseball for UW-Platteville. They were in similar social circles, but also saw each often through their sports. For their first date, Brendon asked Rachel to Culver’s to get ice cream. They bonded over their love for sports and had constant banter on football and baseball teams. Whether the Dallas Cowboys or the Green Bay Packers are the superior team is still a discussion that happens to this day ;) On October 24th, Brendon asked Rachel to be his girlfriend. The rest of school together revolved around attending each others games, studying, and hanging out with friends on the weekends. In the summers, they focused on their careers with various internships and jobs, but they spent time with each other and their families at Lake Shelbyville and Crystal Lake Campground. After they graduated college in 2022, they started their careers about 1.5 hours from each other in Eau Claire, WI and Stillwater, MN. On June 21st, 2025, the couple was in Cornucopia, WI for a weekend trip to hike and see the Apostle Islands. While hiking the National Apostle Lakeshore, Brendon asked Rachel to marry him and the rest is history. They are so blessed and excited to continue to write their love story.

A bus will be taking guests from all three hotels to the reception. Below are the departure times. Dinner is at 5:30PM. Best Western: 3:50PM, 4:50PMHoliday Inn: 4:00PM, 5:00PMCedar Creek Inn: 4:10PM, 5:10PM The bus will also be picking guests up from the reception and taking them back to their respective hotel. Below are reception pick up times. 8:00PM, 9:00PM, 10:00PM, 11:00PM

If you are flying, the nearest airport is CWA which flies right into Mosinee, WI. Typically this requires a transfer flight from MSP or Chicago area.

Dress Code

If you are coming from out of town, this is a must visit to get some authentic local cheese curds, wine, maple syrup and more. Mullins cheese is made right here in Mosinee.

Knowlton House Distillery

Rib mountain is the highlight of the Wausau area. You can walk up or drive. There is a beautiful view a top the lookout tower or old granite mine. Depending on where you park there may be a day pass fee.

Rib Mountain State Park

This is a local pizza place near the church. Pizza by the slice as big as your head and cinnamon knots with frosting are a must. The macaroni and cheese pizza is Rachel’s favorite.

Politos Pizza

Another local spot that is a must try. They are a soft serve ice cream place with endless options and combinations. This is a personal favorite of Rachel. Years ago after softball games with the Plautz family or after Friday Night Lights Rachel could be found here devouring a hot fudge sundae. This where her love for ice cream began.

Briq's Soft Serve

This is a beautiful local spot perfect for a nice dinner and drinks start the weekend. Rachel loves the roasted brussel sprouts appetizer!

Tine & Cellar

Tim and Geralyn would often be here for a classic Friday night fish fry before high school basketball games. This is a super casual bar that gets filled with younger crowd late at night.

Wiggly Field

Another great spot for a nice dinner and drinks with a view of Rib Mountain and the Granite Peak Ski Resort

Carmelo’s Italian Restaurant

Great place to get some swings in!

Indianhead Golf Course

Local lunch spot near the church. Similar to a Panera Bread style but better!
