June 2017- Rachel had moved back to Pittsburgh at the beginning of summer after teaching for four years in North Carolina. She joined a Pittsburgh Sports League (PSL) kickball team as a free agent. The majority of her teammates went to Penn State for college. This is also the same college that Will attended for his undergraduate and graduate degrees! The teammates and Rachel became fast friends and hang out before or after the kickball games and even after the season was over!

April 2018- Rachel gets invited to Penn State for Blue and White Weekend with her new friends. These friends just so happen to be friends with Will who lives in State College at this time. Everyone meets up at a house party and Rachel and Will meet for the first time. It’s a bit of a blur now, but Rachel remembers loving Will’s New York accent and thinking she could listen to him talk all the time. They have fun together partying with the friends for the rest of the weekend!

The Monday after that weekend- Will adds Rachel on Facebook and messages her! :) After a few weeks of messaging, they schedule to meet up just the two of them in State College for their first date. Rachel will always remember their first date weekend dates because that was the same weekend that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married! (May 18-20, 2018).

June- September 2018- Rachel and Will take turns meeting each other in Pittsburgh and State College getting to know each other more and having fun! They even attend their first wedding together in August in California!

October 28, 2018- Will officially asks Rachel to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!
