Rachel and Dan met five years ago during the height of the pandemic. Both Rachel and Dan met online through OkCupid! Interestingly enough, they both had gone on dates with people and hadn't found "the one". Both Rachel and Dan were ready to delete the app and try something else until they both had connected online and decided to go on a date together.

Their first date was at Zohara in West Hartford, CT (try the hummus, it's amazing) and the date went great. Conversation was smooth and both Rachel and Dan enjoyed a nice evening getting to know one another. Fast forward a month later, after a few additional dates, Dan asked Rachel to be his girlfriend and the rest was history. From navigating the natural challenges of the pandemic, to traveling to their favorite summer spots in Rhode Island and Maine, Rachel and Dan fell quickly in love with each other.

Rachel and Dan have been able to grow their relationship over the years and share their love of travel. From traveling to Cancun and Cabo in Mexico with good friends, to local weekend get-a-ways in upstate New York and New England, Dan quickly realized that Rachel was "the one".

In August of 2023, Dan gathered both his and Rachel's immediate family for a surprise engagement at Wells Beach in Maine. Rachel and Dan were both overcome with happiness and excitement when Rachel said "Yes". Rachel was speechless when she saw the whole family ready to celebrate with her. This was an incredible memory that will live with Rachel and Dan forever.

We have been planning this wedding thoughtfully and took our time deciding exactly how we'd like to spend our special wedding day. We are so excited to share our wedding day with so many friends and family and cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
