Q + A

Where is The Empire Room?

The Empire Room is located on the northern side of the middle Midtown Crossing tower. The main door is the northernmost door on the front of the building (facing Turner Park). The ceremony and reception are in the same venue; no need to change locations! Look for our welcome sign outside when you arrive.

I’m attending the Welcome Party. Where do I go?

The Welcome Party will be hosted on the rooftop of Blatt Beer & Table’s downtown location. When you arrive at Blatt, turn to the right immediately upon walking in the door and go up the stairs. Or walk straight to the back and up the stairs outside.

What is the wedding dress code?

Now’s the time to show everyone how well you clean up! Throw on your best semi-formal-to-formal-wear (no jeans please) and come ready to party!

What kind of weather should I plan for?

Those from the area know that predicting the weather this time of year is a crap shoot. The current outlook is low 90s and sunny and windy, but as you’re packing and planning keep an eye on the forecast for any changes!

I have some time to kill. What should I do?

Contrary to popular opinion, Omaha is so much more than “Nebraska!” Depending on the time you have, check out the Henry Doorly Zoo (best in the nation) or Vala’s Pumpkin Patch. Fans of shopping should make the trek out to Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall or Village Pointe Shopping Center. Old Market is a walkable area with a large selection of bars and restaurants. Similarly, Blackstone is just up Farnham Street from Midtown. If you are staying in Midtown, there are several restaurants and cafes nearby. We are big fans of Stories Coffee Co for coffee and breakfast and Smokin Oak for pizza and beer!
