Rachel and Michael first met in January of 2015. Rachel joined Army ROTC at Loyola University Chicago and was immediately infatuated with the upperclassmen, Michael Lee. Michael played hard to get for some time but eventually gave into the inevitable and spent time with Rachel in the fall semester of 2015. Scared of his deep feelings, Michael fled the country and studied abroad in Rome for the semester. They had many phone calls and messages across the ocean for those 4 months. After returning to the States Michael knew he found his person and officially began dating Rachel on December 18th, 2015. Michael thought it smart to ask Rachel out on his birthday so he wouldn't forget the anniversary and Rachel would feel worse to turn him down. Rachel and Michael have been together ever since. With a wedding date of September 18th 2021, the couple will be together for almost 6 years exactly by the time they tie the knot. The relationship has endured many training events in the States and beyond, a combat deployment, graduations, good and difficult days but they have grown everyday together. Rachel is currently serving in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC and Michael serves as an Agent for the Lakewood Police Department and National Guardsmen. They look forward to finally ending their cross country relationship and beginning their married life in Castle Rock, CO next year. Rachel and Michael are thankful to everyone who has impacted them and cannot wait to celebrate the big day soon!
