Some close family and friends may know the exact story of how Jarod and I met, but many do not! It all started in September of 2020 when Jarod and I decided to meet in Kansas City, MO (where he was living at the time) to go on our very first date. I had heard nothing but good things about him from my sister, Hailey (who at the time worked at the same hospital as Jarod's mom, Julie). We had a great first date! We talked about common interest, people we both knew, and had nothing but good vibes throughout the entire evening. The date ended with ice cream, we said our goodbyes, and went our separate ways (not knowing we would reconnect almost 3 years later). In the weeks following our date we both got busy and things just fizzled out. During the next 2.5 years I made countless trips to Falls City, NE to visit my sister and her family. Where unbeknownst to me, Jarod was now living. I would post snapchat stories with the Falls City location tag on them not knowing we still had each other on Snapchat from almost 3 years earlier. It was in March of 2023 when Jarod finally decided to swipe up on one of my "Falls City, NE" tagged stories to reach back out to me. Since that day in March 2023, we have talked everyday and have rekindled that original connection that had first begun in 2020. The rest of our story has yet to be written, but I can't wait for what the future has in store for us.
Not many people know, but we met on a first date in September 2020 in Kansas City. The date went well, but the timing wasn't right with everything going on in our lives. I moved back to Falls City in February of 2022 and lived the bachelor life for a while. In early 2023 Rachel started posting snapchats in Falls City with people I had known from growing up here. Coincidentally around that time, my mom had also put the idea into my head, after talking with Rachel's sister who she worked with, that I should talk to Rachel. I don't think my mom knew that I already knew Rachel from a few years ago. Anyways, I messaged Rachel and we started hanging out weekly in April 2023. I even convinced her to move in with me and marry me in 2024. I always tell Rachel I knew that I wanted to marry her after only a few months of being together. She is the most kind, caring, and loving person I have ever met. We have had many great adventures together so far, and I can't wait for a lifetime more of adventures to come.
