Todd and Rachel went to high school together, but back then, they were moving in different circles. They knew of each other but never really connected. After graduation, life led them on separate paths, each filled with its own challenges, including some tough times and moments of self-destruction.

Almost a decade later, after both had worked to rebuild their lives, they reconnected in a recovery group. This time, it wasn’t just a passing glance—they recognized each other immediately. After the meeting, they started talking, reminiscing about high school and realizing how much they had in common.

Their relationship grew naturally from there. They found strength in their shared experiences, supporting each other through the hard days and finding joy in the everyday moments. Together, they built a new future, learning from their past without letting it define them.

In January 2024, while on a trip to Puerto Rico, Todd proposed. It was the perfect moment, surrounded by the beauty of the island and the peace they had both worked so hard to find in their lives. Rachel said yes, and from that moment, they knew they were ready to face whatever the future held together.

Now, they’re looking forward to their wedding in April 2025, grateful for the way their journey brought them back into each other’s lives. What started as a reconnection has become something much deeper—a partnership built on resilience, love, and the commitment to keep growing together.
