What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

You should plan to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony. If you arrive after the ceremony has begun, you will be instructed to wait until after the bride's entrance and will be seated in the back.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is semi-formal attire. Please have fun with your outfit and wear what makes you happy and the most comfortable. Please no jeans, t-shirts, baseball hats, etc. Please avoid all shades of white.

Where will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place?

The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting). The cocktail hour and reception will take place inside.

Can I bring my kids?

While we love your kids and would love for them to celebrate with us on our special day, only those listed on the invitation are allowed.

Will there be an open bar?

I know - the only reason you looked at our Q&A page. There will be beer and seltzers as well as 2 signature cocktails available for all guests to enjoy! Remember to tip the bartenders!! We want everyone to have the best time possible but please drink responsibly and if you cause a scene or cannot hold your alcohol you will be asked to leave.

Can I take photos during the ceremony and post them on social media?

NO. We are having an unplugged ceremony. This means no phones, camera, etc should be out once the ceremony starts. We have hired a wonderful photographer and videographer to capture our day. If you are caught with your phone out taking photos or videos during the ceremony you will be asked to put it away. As far as posting on social media - photos from the cocktail hour and reception are fine to post whenever! Just please make sure all content posted is in good taste.

What is the best way to RSVP and when is the deadline?

The best way to RSVP is by going to our website and clicking the RSVP tab. Please do not call me or anyone in my family to RSVP unless you are having issues with the RSVP link. You can begin RSVPing as early as you would like! The deadline is October 1. This is a strict deadline. This is when our final headcount is due to all vendors. If you do not RSVP by October 1 then you will not be allowed to come to the ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception. If something comes up and you realize you cannot come after already RSVPing, please try to let us know so we can adjust our arrangements.

When will the reception end?

We are splitting our reception into two parts. At approximately 8:30 our DJ will announce our 'exit' for the reception. This way everyone can still be included in all the wedding festivities! After our exit and once we return - the party will really start and the atmosphere will be less kid-friendly. You are more than welcome to stay until the very end but we know some guests will want to leave and that is totally okay! We only plan on doing this wedding thing once so we want to have the time of our lives!

Any questions day of will be directed to my wedding planner but are not guaranteed to be answered. I will not be responding to any texts, calls, emails, etc. day of.

How do I get to the venue? Will transportation be provided?

The venue is located at 6656 King Wilkinson Rd, Denver, NC 28037. There is parking available at the venue. There will also be transportation provided that will pick-up and drop-off at the hotel. If you plan to stay at the hotel we have rooms at and want to ride the bus to and from the venue, please answer the transportation question on the RSVP page. This will help us make sure we have enough transportation to accommodate all our guests. If you plan to drive to the venue and need to leave your vehicle overnight, please return to the venue no later than 11:00am on Sunday to retrieve your vehicle.

Do I get a plus one?

Only the guests listed on the invitation and RSVP are invited. We wish we could invite everyone but our venue can only accommodate a certain amount of guests. If your plus one/original guest on the invitation is unable to attend you are not allowed to invite someone else in his/her place. ONLY THOSE LISTED ON THE INVITATION AND RSVP ARE ALLOWED TO ATTEND!!

Can I take a centerpiece or any other decor home as a souvenir?

Please do not take any decor from the venue unless otherwise instructed. There is a list of guests that are taking home flowers/centerpieces and they will be notified beforehand. Most of our decor, dinnerware, etc will be numbered by table and person so if anything is taken, we will reach our to that guest and ask for the items back or money to cover the fees.

Where should I stay?

We have a room block at the SpringHill Suites Charlotte Lake Norman/Mooresville. A link to the room block is located under the 'Travel' tab on the website. If you would like to book a room at the hotel, please do so by October 18. There are also numerous house rentals in the area through AirBnB and Vrbo. For house rentals, we recommend searching for houses in Denver. If you have any questions about the location of the house rental in reference to the venue, please reach out and we can take a look!
