1:00 PM–2:15 PM
Nuptial Mass
St. Anne Catholic Church
2337 Irving Avenue, San Diego, CA, 92113, United States
Attire: Formal Church Attire (see below for more detail)
The Mass will be offered in the Traditional Latin (Tridentine) form from Pre Vatican II, and further, will be a "High Mass" which includes Incense and our Latin Chant Choir.
We invite all attendees to pick up a Mass booklet (condensed Missal) at the back of the Church for your ease of reference. Don't worry, even those of us who frequent Latin Mass need a Missal (booklet) to follow along!
For understanding, Catholics believe that Our Lord, Jesus Christ, is truly present (Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity) in the Consecrated Host. Out of reverence for our Catholic faith, for those of you who are not practicing Catholics and in the state of grace, please remain in your seat during the time of Holy Communion.
Please keep a reverent silence while in the church. If you have a young child with you, kindly sit towards the back of the church for ease of access into the courtyard and cry room, should your little one need it.
We know it goes without saying, but we are beyond grateful for ALL of you in attendance, and would not be in the place we are today without EACH of you and your presence in our lives.

Attire Details:
Out of reverence for Our Lord and His Holy House, please follow the below attire requirements for the Church:
The priests of St. Anne's have asked us to include the following note regarding how to comport oneself in church, modesty in dress, and how to receive Holy Communion at the Traditional Latin Mass:
• A Catholic church is a holy place. Our Lord dwells there as He dwells nowhere else except in heaven. In keeping with the holiness of this place we ask that you refrain from talking before the wedding ceremony and Mass, and from clapping and cheering after Mass. This may be done once you've exited the church.
• All who come to this church are expected to dress with modesty. Some norms for women include the following: necklines should not be revealing, backs must be covered, no sleeveless dresses or blouses, dresses and skirts should reach below the knees, clothes should not be skin tight, see-through material is not appropriate. The wearing of a veil is encouraged. The wearing of shorts and flip-flops is inappropriate.
• The norms for modesty in dress apply to all, including photographers and musicians.
• In order to receive Holy Communion in the Catholic Church one must be a practicing Catholic — someone who goes to church every Sunday, someone who avails himself of confession as needed. Holy Communion is received kneeling at the Communion rail (unless you're unable to kneel), and is only given on the tongue, not in the hand. When the priest stands in front of you, open your mouth wide and extend your tongue to the outer edge of you lower lip. You do not respond “Amen.” If you are not receiving Holy Communion, please remain in your seat.
Thank you for your consideration!
