Our Wedding Plans We’re doing things a little differently—and we’re so excited to share it with you! We’ve chosen to privately elope in a small, intimate ceremony to kick off our marriage with a quiet moment just for the two of us. But don’t worry—we couldn’t imagine celebrating this next chapter without all of you. That’s why we’re throwing a big reception to celebrate with our favorite people! Join us for a night of good food, drinks, dancing, and love as we toast to this new chapter together.

Our Wedding

It started at a climbing gym in Richmond, where a casual introduction (thanks to Ian’s connection with Rachel’s brother) led to a few shared routes and climbing tips. At first, we were just familiar faces—exchanging friendly nods, quick conversations, and the occasional “mind if I hop on that next?” But slowly, something deeper began to grow. Climbing partners turned into friends. Friends turned into best friends. And before we even realized it, we had quietly become each other’s favorite person. We’re very different in many ways. But somehow, we’ve always found a rhythm that works. One where we challenge each other, support each other, and most importantly, make each other laugh—even when the route is tough. Since 2018, we’ve explored cities and mountains, made homes in unexpected places, and built a life filled with curiosity, care, and a lot of inside jokes. We’ve shown up for each other through joy and loss, through change and growth—and every step has only made us more sure. And then, in the Grand Tetons—after setting up the tripod for a “family photo” of us + our dog Izzie—Ian got down on one knee and asked Rachel to marry him. She said yes. (Izzie approved, too.) Through the highs and lows, we’ve never stopped choosing each other.Now we’re getting married! We can’t wait to share this moment with our loved ones who have been part of our journey. We’re so glad you’re here. Let's party!
