Our Wedding

We met in June 2021 in Cedar Falls, IA at mutual friends' house. Colton and I are both more reserved, so it took a bit before sparking conversation between the two of us. One week later, we were both invited to a different friends' house where we ended up exchanging numbers. We talked everyday since then. There were many trips over school breaks to visit him wherever he was living. He made the same efforts to come back home to visit me and family until I graduated. While long distance was not always fun, we were able to travel and explore new places together. We were long distance from the time we met until December 2023 when I moved to Tennessee to be with Colton. He surprised me with a puppy in early February 2024 so I knew (or was really hoping) an engagement was coming soon after. We were engaged a few weeks later in our backyard and had so much fun telling all our loved ones our exciting news.
